Public art Glasswork Galleries & Studios
Eamonn was born in County Kilkenny, Ireland and through the eyes of his childhood, he discovered the beauty of nature and art which captured his imagination.
Eamonn has always had a fine appreciation for good design and has loved working with his hands. His desire to channel his creative energy led to him securing a highly sought-after apprenticeship in glass making at the world famous, Waterford Glass, Ireland and he qualified as a Master Cutter and Design in 1976.
Eamonn immigrated to Australia in 1987 and chose to make Norwood his home. In 1994 he opened his glassblowing studio and gallery in Norwood, South Australia.
Eamonn's world, is built on a long and rich history of growing up on the land, learning to improvise - discovering the natural beauty around him is now presenting itself through his glass art and prints.
Working with glass provides an opportunity for Eamonn to create new expressions of colour, light, warmth, beauty and fragility- which are all reflections of his character and his appreciation for people and for the world around him.
Eamonn has also used his studio to guide many newly graduated and aspiring Glassblowers artists.
