The Council's decision-making structure is made up of the Council and a number of committees that operate on a functional or 'as needed' basis.
Council meetings are the most important part of a Council's operations.
The decisions made by Elected Members at formal Council meetings provide the direction and authority for the ongoing operation of the Council.
Council committees support Council decision-making. They are established to perform a specific function on behalf of the Council. Elected Member appointments to committees are made by the Council when each committee is established.
